Unknown hackers have hacked the systems of nine organizations involved in defense, energy, healthcare, technology and education.
At least one of the affected organizations is located in the United States . This was announced on Sunday, November 7, by CNN , citing data from Palo Alto Networks, a security company.
According to the TV company, cybercriminals managed to steal passwords from a number of organizations, which gave them long-term access to the respective networks.
This allows hackers to intercept sensitive information sent via email or stored on computer systems.
It is noted that there may be even more affected organizations. Who exactly is behind the attacks is unknown, but, according to experts, the attackers' tactics are similar to those used by hacker groups from China.

The purpose of the investigation is to alert other companies that they may be targeted by hackers.
The US National Security Agency and the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Agency are reported to be "monitoring the threat." The departments do not comment on the personalities of the hackers.
On November 4, the US Department of State announced a $ 10 million reward for information on the whereabouts of the leaders of the DarkSide hacker group.
In addition to this award, the Department of State is offering a reward of up to $ 5 million for information that will help arrest in any country those who temporarily sided with hackers or helped in any DarkSide criminal act.
The DarkSide hacker group was responsible for the Colonial Pipeline incident in May 2021, which resulted in the temporary closure of the pipeline that transports 45% of the fuel used on the East Coast of the United States.
The cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline occurred on May 7. As a result, the work of a large pipeline was suspended. The American media announced the possible connection of the hackers who attacked the Colonial Pipeline with Russia. However, the White House has not confirmed this information. Ann Nyuberger, Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security of the United States, said that the attack was carried out by a group of hackers, not some state.
